Who is this course for?
Anyone working on man-made structures such as indoor climbing walls and high ropes challenge courses.
This course is designed for anyone employed to work in outdoor activities, climbing wall operations and route setting or ropes course construction and inspection. The course will provide an understanding of working at height legislation and the use of appropriate work techniques for ascending and descending ropes, including rescue of a co-worker. Training will be delivered in accordance with BS 7985:2009 Code of practice for the use of rope access methods for industrial purposes and BS ISO 22846-2:2012 Personal equipment for protection against falls - Rope access systems. It will also take into account the recommendations of the European Ropes Course Association (ERCA) with regard to access and rescue techniques.
